Java Developer
Position Summary
As Nuxeo engineering expands worldwide, we're looking for a few great developers to join our outstanding development team. Come work with us improving and building new features for our popular and award-winning ECM products.
Primary Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for developing front-end and back-end features for our ECM applications. We're serious about quality, so you'll be writing unit tests, automated regression tests and tracking defects as they occur. You'll work as part of a small, agile team of programmers working across all of Nuxeo's products. And we invest a lot in our process, so we constantly evaluate our own performance, using some of the best tools in the industry, to improve our development speed. We believe that every team, no matter the size, deserves to use the best tools. So we make great developer tools that everyone can afford. Required Skills
- 4/5 years degree or appropriate industry experience.
- Solid Java development experience and talent. Any experience using Open Source frameworks,or different areas of Java EE, are beneficial.
- An understanding of the following broad technologies: Application Server (JBoss, Glassfish), GWT, Freemarker, JSF, Seam
- Experience with handling large volumes of electronic communication (blogs, wikis, email, IM).
- Understanding of Agile development methods (notably Scrum)
- Working knowledge of the enterprise-computing environment
- Prior technical background, ability to talk to both developer and business user level audience
Preferred Skills
- We use an XP-style development process hence any agile experience (including test driven development, pair programming, refactoring and continuous integration) is a plus.
- Experience writing unit tests and functional tests.
- Broad knowledge of software industry and technology.
- Understanding of defect tracking, project management or wikis.
- Public participation in an open source project is encouraged.
