Nuxeo Hosts Global Conference for Open Source ECM Customers and Partners
Paris, France, Nov. 17, 2010 — Nuxeo, the Open Source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform company, is hosting customers and partners from around the world at Nuxeo World 2010 this week in Paris, Nov. 17-18 at Le Théâtre des Variétés.
An exciting array of customers, partners and Nuxeo product experts will meet in-person to shape the direction of Nuxeo’s flagship ECM architecture, Nuxeo Enterprise Platform, sharing their success stories and technical knowledge. As a company committed to community, this event is a major highlight of what will be the most successful year in the company’s 10 year history.
Committed to delivering the ECM industry’s most technically advanced, extensible platform for content applications, Nuxeo is rapidly growing its global install base, with significant growth fueled by its expansion into North America since 2009.
At Nuxeo World, company executives, including CEO Eric Barroca, will highlight the company’s business strategy and technology roadmap for 2011.
Barroca’s keynote will outline the company’s 2010 success and milestones, including:
- Increased commitment to community coordination and its engagement model, including a Documentation Center refresh project
- Deeper involvement with open source and open standards communities, and a roadmap for deeper support and integration with the PostgreSQL, OSGi, JBoss ecosystems, to accelerate Nuxeo EP as the platform of choice for a fully-supported open source ECM stack on which to build applications.
- Expansion of the Nuxeo Galaxy Partner program and technology alliances to build connectors and integrations with other widely adopted products and services, including, but not limited to, Drupal, Talend, Salesforce.com, Adobe, VMWare, Google Apps.
- Continued technology innovation with an advanced social stack based on OpenSocial; a cloud-scale storage system for the repository; increased commitment to OSGi in Nuxeo EP; mobile and offline frameworks; and records management as a service of the platform available across all Nuxeo packaged products.
- Improved Nuxeo Connect customer services with continued innovation for Nuxeo Studio and the updated Connect portal for more self-service options including streamlined package and update installation with Nuxeo Marketplace and Nuxeo Admin Center.
In 2010, the company focused on rapid delivery of new and enhanced products, expanding the Nuxeo Galaxy partner program and introducing new value-added services to Nuxeo Connect subscription customers. Key product releases included:
- New Product Releases and Upgrades: Nuxeo DM and EP 5.4, Nuxeo Correspondence Management, Nuxeo Case Management Framework, Nuxeo Digital Asset Management as well as Nuxeo Studio, the hosted design and customization environment for Nuxeo EP.
- Commitment to Open Source and Open Standards: Nuxeo has been an active contributor to projects and committees including CMIS 1.0 with OASIS, a leadership role in the Apache Chemistry Incubator project with OpenCMIS as well as the IKS fise project for a new semantic engine for entity identification and extraction.
- Value-Added Services for Nuxeo Connect customers: including Nuxeo Marketplace, the ECM industry’s first “app store” is a solution catalog of packages, templates and applications, and Nuxeo Admin Center, a personalized download and real-time patch notification dashboard with 1-click live integration of Nuxeo Marketplace and Nuxeo Studio-designed packages.
New customers and partners, and industry recognition validates the growing demand for a highly flexible, extensible, Java-based platform like Nuxeo EP to build mission-critical ECM applications.
- Global Customer Growth: Jeppesen (a Boeing Company), Cengage Learning, and eHuman, among others as North American adopters, as well as European successes with real estate leader Vilogia, and Serimax Knowledge Management, an application delivered with Galaxy partner Smile.
- Acceleration of Nuxeo Galaxy Partner Program: Highlights of 2010 include the metaLogic launch of Lotus IMT, the addition of $3.3 million USD Series A funding to enhance the channel strategy, and new North American partners including the most recent announcement IMMO-SYSTEMS.
- Awards and Recognition: Nuxeo was named to the TechWeb Intelligent Enterprise 2010 Editors' Choice, Top 25 of VARGuy Open Source 50 for channel programs and Information Management “40 Vendors We're Watching in 2010”.
According to the Gilbane Group, a division of Outsell, Inc., in its recent Beacon Whitepaper “Next Generation ECM for Mission-Critical Applications”, senior analyst Dale Waldt confirms that not only are “the new ECM platforms on par with the features, functions, and capabilities offered in first generation ECM platforms with proprietary architectures, but also offer significant functionality, price and deployment advantages. Business and IT leaders can consider these platforms with confidence.”
