Nuxeo Continues to Innovate in Open Source Enterprise Content Management
PARIS, September 15, 2010 -- Nuxeo, the Open Source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) company, recently expanded its offering with several new products and services, as well as upgrades to its existing products.

Nuxeo introduced a preview of the first marketplace for ECM applications a few weeks ago. The new Nuxeo Marketplace is integrated throughout the Nuxeo Connect services, allowing installation of new applications or plug-ins directly from an application. The solution catalog -- in preview currently within the Nuxeo community -- offers plug-ins, templates and applications created by Nuxeo developers, Galaxy partners and users, giving customers the ability to browse, install and try new features and download templates for customization within seconds. The company also introduced the Nuxeo Admin Center, a new administration console, featuring a software update dashboard to install and manage upgrades, patches and new features. The general availability release of the Nuxeo Marketplace will be announced next month, with many packages available for download and trial.
Nuxeo has also been busy with a series of new product launches. Nuxeo Correspondence Management was released over the summer, delivered as a first set of templates for the new Nuxeo open source Case Management Framework (Nuxeo CMF). The framework is the first ECM-based open source case management framework for application developers, ISVs and information architects that need to deliver case-centric applications to business users.
Nuxeo Correspondence Management is the first of several application-specific template sets that extends the framework and brings the power of Nuxeo Case Management Framework to specific challenges faced by customers. With Nuxeo Correspondence Management, government agencies and regulated industries can automate tracking of large volumes of incoming, outgoing or internal correspondence - regardless of format. This helps to streamline correspondence intake, route tasks, and reduce the margin of error to meet mandated turnaround times, all while providing rigorous security controls, audit trails and rapid search and retrieval.
Nuxeo Case Management Framework is CMIS-compliant and provides a new platform for applications, such as correspondence management, as well as invoice processing, personnel file management, incident tracking and others.
Working to also improve existing products, Nuxeo released Nuxeo Digital Asset Management 1.1 with enhanced video management functionality, including transcoding and video storyboarding. Coinciding with Nuxeo DAM 1.1 was the introduction of Nuxeo DAM Cloud Edition, a SaaS version that offers marketers and brand managers a new feature-rich, economical solution for handling media content. Nuxeo DAM - Cloud Edition runs on the Nuxeo secure cloud services infrastructure, backed by Amazon web services.
Recent updates to flagship products Nuxeo Enterprise Platform and Nuxeo Document Management are detailed in a blog post. The new features include a configuration system to facilitate upgrades and administration, a new tag service implementation, VCS repository improvements for better Oracle support, and an enhanced installer for Windows.
