Nuxeo Strengthens Partnership with Galaxy Partner Smile

Smile to expand reach of professional services for Nuxeo Open Source ECM platform

Nuxeo World - Paris – November 17, 2010 – Nuxeo, the Open Source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform company, today announced that it has established a services partnership with long-time Nuxeo Galaxy partner Smile, a top integrator of open source solutions in Europe. Nuxeo and Smile will work closely together to provide consulting, development and deployment services for the Nuxeo Enterprise Platform and related packaged applications such as Nuxeo DM, Nuxeo DAM and Nuxeo Case Management Framework. The new services business unit will provide coverage to large enterprises and integrators in France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Spain.

This enhanced services partnership, to be called “Nuxeo Professional Services by Smile”, represents a significant step forward in the evolution of the award-winning Nuxeo Galaxy partner program, and the maturity of the relationship with Smile. Named to the Top 25 Open Source channel programs by VARGuy Magazine in 2010, the Nuxeo partner program continues to be an important part of the company’s growth strategy.

Demand for Nuxeo’s ECM products is growing dramatically, and in order to ensure customers and systems integrators to continue to receive the top-level service they expect, Nuxeo has partnered with Smile as a technical services business unit. Smile will lead complex services and integration projects, as well as benefit from enhanced Nuxeo training, certification, and closer cooperation with Nuxeo architects and developers. Nuxeo and Smile’s clients, including both end-user organizations and systems integrators, will benefit from this joint support for the success of their projects by ensuring depth of technical expertise, access to a greater pool of skilled resources and experienced project management, as well as assurance of direct line support and issue resolution.

“Nuxeo’s market share is growing rapidly, and Smile has proven to be a skilled and valuable partner, so we turned to them to lead more of our services and integration projects in Europe,” said Eric Barroca, CEO of Nuxeo. “Smile is a respected integrator, and thanks to their expertise, we can continue our rapid growth while ensuring that our valued customers receive the technical services they require through the Nuxeo Connect subscription program. This is an important step in the Nuxeo Galaxy partner program, and our company goal is to establish similar service agreements across the globe.”

“Smile has long been an integrator of Nuxeo’s solutions, and we are very happy to bring professional services to this great ECM solution,” said Thomas Choppy, manager of the ECM division at Smile. “These new services will complement our existing, complete activities in ECM, helping clients to design and install solutions more efficiently.” Nuxeo and Smile have already successfully delivered content management applications to joint customers including Serimax, IRSN, and the French Ministry of Finance.
