The Nuxeo GSA Connector enables the Google Search Appliance (GSA) to index and search content from Nuxeo's Document Management module. With this connector, content from the Nuxeo repository will appear in enterprise search results in the same interface as other data sources indexed by the Google Search Appliance, offering a unified enterprise search experience with diverse information sources, including one or more Nuxeo applications.

Nuxeo Google Search Appliance Connector

The Nuxeo GSA Connector extends the accessibility of the Nuxeo content repository by including it as a data source in a federated search with other information systems. The connector performs two services for Google Search Appliance: indexing Document Management content from Nuxeo, and providing access control list information during search, enabling the search to access Nuxeo documents while respecting previously defined access rights.  

The Nuxeo GSA Connector includes:

  • A Google Enterprise Connector Manager -- the web application that talks to the Google Search Appliance server, hosts the Nuxeo connector instance, and manages the index scheduling process.
  • A Google Search Appliance connector type for Nuxeo's Document Management module. Once instantiated, the connector exposes Nuxeo content and security policies to the Google Search Appliance.
