In this 5-day technical training course, participants will acquire the required technical knowledge to set-up and configure Nuxeo Document Management, including the use of Nuxeo Studio to facilitate platform customization and configuration. Topics include document type creation, trigger set up, graphical identity, application templating, search, and the use of major platform services. Participants will learn how to set up and deploy a plug-in for Nuxeo DM as part of customization and platform extension. Course Outline
- Day 1. Functional overview of Nuxeo DM, introduction to Nuxeo Studio.
- Day 2. Content model design with Nuxeo Studio: document types, forms and views, and data structures. Other configuration elements: content lifecycle, search form and branding.
- Day 3. Content automation with Nuxeo Studio: business rules, events, and operations. Learn how to design and create automation chains, define new user actions, define new event listeners, and use REST APIs.
- Day 4. Set up a development environment, add new services to the platform, integrate a Nuxeo Studio project with the new services, OpenSocial gadget creation.
- Day 5. Nuxeo DM distribution and packaging, how to test (Unit tests, Selenium), installation in a production environment (Database, LDAP, back up/restore configuration).
Prerequisites
- Basic understanding of web applications recommended
- Knowledge of Java syntax helpful, but not mandatory
