Nuxeo, Actuate Bring Open Source BI to ECM
Today, open source enterprise content management (ECM) provider Nuxeo announced an integration with Eclipse’s open source Business Intelligence Report Tool (BIRT), enabling users to create reports from the ECM platform.

[Etude de cas] Un portail intranet pour Leroy Merlin
Dans le monde de Nuxeo, le nom de Damien Metzler est connu. J'étais donc enthousiasmée à l'idée de discuter avec lui de son projet pour Leroy Merlin, basé sur la plateforme de Nuxeo. Damien a développé des conteneurs GWT et des fonctionnalités OpenSocial pour le portail intranet de Leroy Merlin, basé sur Nuxeo EP. Il a également participé à l'évolution de la plateforme générique, en proposant l'intégration de ses améliorations. Sa contribution ayant été intégrée à Nuxeo DM, tous les utilisateurs de Nuxeo ont désormais accès à un tableau de bord à la Google avec des gadgets internes et externes.

L'initiative est venue la semaine dernière de l'éditeur de gestion de contenu open source Nuxeo. Il a proposé son référentiel documentaire Java à la Fondation Eclipse dans le cadre du projet Enterprise Content Repository (ECR). Ce dernier est en cours de validation.

Nuxeo Core moving to Eclipse
I have been thinking a lot about Nuxeo’s recent announcement that it is contributing Nuxeo Core to the Eclipse Foundation. First, I agree with Josette Rigsby’s observation that this move could make Nuxeo the JackRabbit of CMIS. JCR watchers probably remember that Day Software’s development of an open source reference implementation (Apache JackRabbit) was critical to the success of the JCR standard.

Nuxeo confie son référentiel documentaire CMIS à Eclipse
Eclipse monte d’un cran dans la gestion documentaire. L’éditeur Open Source français Nuxeo a décidé de contribuer son référentiel documentaire à la fondation dans le but de créer le projet Eclipse Entreprise Content Repository. Objectif : créer une implémentation de référence d’un serveur CMIS. Nuxeo veut de son côté accélérer sa capacité d’innovation.

Eclipse Enterprise Content Repository Project (ECR) has been proposed as a new Eclipse project under the Eclipse Runtime Project. The initial contribution will come from Nuxeo, which will then be developed within the Eclipse Foundation into a reference Content Repository implementation, accessible through APIs.

Nuxeo donates content repository to Eclipse
Nuxeo has announced that it has contributed the core of its content management platform to the Eclipse Foundation. The Nuxeo Core is now known (within the Eclipse Foundation) as the Eclipse Enterprise Content Repository. The newly formed project lives under the umbrella Eclipse Runtime project at the Foundation.

Nuxeo, the open source enterprise content management company, announced that it will contribute their Nuxeo Core Java content repository technology to the Eclipse Foundation. This will bring a standard Java content management system to Eclipse derived products, via the Enterprise. Rather than creating a bespoke content management system on top of (No)SQL databases, the CMS will provide APIs (both in Java, and by remote calls through REST and WSDL) to access content. |
