Executive Team

Eric Barroca, CEO

Eric Barroca, CEO

Named CEO of Nuxeo in 2008, Eric Barroca is based in the London, UK, headquarters, where he leads a team of highly experienced experts dedicated to providing an enterprise-ready platform for building content-oriented applications. Under his leadership, Nuxeo has experienced substantial growth, becoming a key challenger in the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) market.


Eric joined Nuxeo’s Paris office in 2001 as Vice President of Operations, and played a key role in developing the cutting-edge Nuxeo Platform. Prior to joining Nuxeo, he held a number of supervisory positions and assisted in the design and development of various software packages including ERP and SaaS packages.

Thierry Delprat, CTO

Thierry Delprat, CTO

Thierry Delprat joined Nuxeo in 2005 as Chief Technology Officer. As CTO, he guides the architectural development of the Nuxeo Platform including the adoption of Java as the platform for innovation.


Prior to joining Nuxeo, Thierry worked for over 7 years at Unilog, with progressively senior experience across different branches of the consulting company. He was also a technical architect at Cryo-Networks (infrastructure for online games), and has participated in start-up companies.


Thierry graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Nantes.

Alain Escaffre, VP Product Management

Alain Escaffre, VP Product Management

Alain Escaffre joined Nuxeo in April 2007 as a PreSales Engineer. Now the VP of Product Management, he is responsible for the product roadmap, and works hard to ensure the platform is easy to understand and use.


Alain is also in charge of the specifications for most new modules. Prior to joining Nuxeo, he was an internal expert on ECM, Workflow and Portal technologies at Gaz de France, now GDF-Suez, and was a specialist for Documentum, W4 and BEA Webportal (now Oracle).

Christopher McLaughlin, CMO

Christopher McLaughlin, CMO

Chris McLaughlin joined Nuxeo in 2017 as its Chief Marketing Officer. As CMO, Chris guides Nuxeo’s go-to-market strategy and is responsible for all aspects of Marketing worldwide.


Prior to joining Nuxeo, he served in a number of executive roles in Dell EMC’s Enterprise Content Division, most recently as its CMO. Chris also served as CMO at Thunderhead, helping this Customer Communications Management software company become one of the fastest-growing technology companies in Europe.


In all, he has over 20 years of experience in enterprise software with both smaller, growth-stage and large, mature organizations. Chris graduated from UCLA and works out of our Orange County offices in California.

Xavier Foucault, VP Operations

Xavier Foucault, VP Operations

Xavier Foucault joined Nuxeo in 2009 after spending 4 years in Silicon Valley. He has 20 years of management experience in the professional services sphere with both software and hardware companies, including 10 years at Toshiba where his last position was Operations Manager.



With his extensive experience in technical team organization and management, Xavier continues to expand the overall services portfolio of the Nuxeo technical team.


Xavier holds an engineering degree in electronics from ESEO in Angers (diplôme d'ingénieur).

Florent Guillaume, Head of R&D

Florent Guillaume, Head of R&D

Florent Guillaume leads the Nuxeo development organization and has been a core developer of the Nuxeo platform since 2001. He is a recognized expert within both the Java and Zope communities, actively participating in several related workgroups.


Florent leads the Nuxeo CMIS contribution, and is a co-founder of the Apache Chemistry project, helping define the world of interoperable content management. Prior to joining Nuxeo, Florent was co-founder and CTO of Reputy (content qualification and web audience measurement solutions). Before that he was working for the management and communication IT department of the Ministry of Education. Florent holds a Master of Computer Science and Mathematics and is also an ENST graduate (diplôme d'ingénieur).

David Woolston, VP Business Development - General Counsel

David Woolston, VP Business Development - General Counsel

As Nuxeo’s VP of Business Development, David leads strategic initiatives including alliances, corporate development, and new business opportunities.


David also serves as Nuxeo’s General Counsel, guiding Nuxeo's strategy for balancing risk and growth. David joined Nuxeo in 2017. Prior to Nuxeo he was an in-house attorney for Hewlett Packard Enterprise where he led legal and business strategy projects. Prior to HP he was in private practice with Skadden Arps doing M&A.


David graduated from the College of William and Mary and the University of Chicago Law School with honors.

Fred Monjazeb, CRO

Fred Monjazeb, CRO

Prior to his role as the Chief Revenue Officer at Nuxeo, Fred Monjazeb held senior management positions at EMC, IBM and FileNet.


Fred led the worldwide go-to-market strategies for content management at both IBM and EMC and was responsible for managing the assimilation of acquired companies to expand product portfolios and drive market expansion.


He is a founder and managing partner of UNDRSTND and also served as the chairman of the board at enChoice Corp. Fred has a BSEE degree from Oklahoma State University and resides in Southern California.

James Colquhoun, CFO

James Colquhoun, CFO

James Colquhoun joined Nuxeo in [October] 2018 as its Chief Financial Officer.


James has been CFO of a number of high growth international businesses and joins Nuxeo from Calastone, the worlds largest transaction network for mutual funds, where he was CFO. James was also key member of AOL’s European executive team have joined AOL from branded video distribution company, goviral, which was acquired by AOL in January 2011. James spent 18 months at goviral, building the finance division, and was part of the executive team who sold the business to AOL.


James is Chartered Accountant and holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business and Finance from Oxford Brookes University. James works out of our London office.

Michael Elias

Michael Elias

Michael is a Managing Director at Kennet Partners, a private equity firm which he founded in 1997. Earlier he spent 11 years at the venture capital firm Thompson Clive, where he was based in Silicon Valley and Paris. Michael has made investments across Europe and the US during 30 years as a technology investor.


He led Kennet’s investments in Adviva Media (acquired by Specific Media), GoViral (acquired by AOL Inc.), Sequans (NYSE:SQNS), ChipIdea (acquired by MIPS), Paragon Software (acquired by Openwave), Altitun (acquired by ADC Telecommunications), No Wires Needed (acquired by Intersil), Monis (acquired bySungard Data Systems), and Ubizen (acquired by CyberTrust), among others.


Michael holds a B.A. with highest honors from Harvard University, and received an M.Sc. from Cambridge University where he was a Marshall Scholar.

Dave Kellogg

Currently CEO of Host Analytics, Dave was also senior vice president and general manager at Salesforce.com, overseeing Service Cloud, one of the company’s fastest growing revenue streams. As CEO of MarkLogic, Dave grew the company from zero to $80M in revenues within six years.


Before that, Dave led marketing at Business Objects for nearly a decade, as the company grew from 250 to over 4,500 people and from $30M to over $1B in annual revenues. His decades-long career has included service as a board member at Aster Data and in an advisory capacity to MongoDB developer 10gen, Hadapt, and Tableau Software.


A recognized thought leader on topics ranging from venture capital and Silicon Valley culture to cloud, big data, and social enterprise technologies, Dave is a highly regarded blogger. Follow his tweets at @Kellblog.

Steve King

Steve King

Steve has led successful corporate expansion initiatives throughout his 25-year career. In his most recent operating role, he served as President and CEO of DocuSign. Previously, he was President and CEO of ZANTAZ, where he grew revenues 3,400% in a five-year period before the company’s acquisition by Autonomy Group.


Steve also held executive positions at ETRADE, helping increase revenues from $100 million to $1.5 billion. Steve became CEO of EOFFERING, the online investment bank of E*TRADE, and led its sale to Wit Soundview. He also held senior management positions at Thomson Reuters and Ziff-Davis.


A recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Steve holds a B.S. in business administration and an M.B.A. from Thomas Edison State University where he serves on the board of the TESU Foundation.

Christian Resch

Christian Resch joined Goldman Sachs in 2004 and is an Managing Director responsible for European growth capital investments in the Private Capital Investing group.


Christian typically invests between $20m to $150m of equity and/or debt in individual transactions.


Christian holds a BSc. from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
