At Nuxeo, we think of ourselves as pioneers in helping organizations unlock the value of their digital assets. We’ve received many awards and accolades for our digital asset management (DAM) offering, and we’re widely recognized as an innovator in this market.

When it comes to DAM, one could say we wrote the book … both figuratively, and now literally! That’s right – we’re now helping school the next generation of DAM professionals.

Rutgers University, the largest post-secondary educational institution in the state of New Jersey, just launched the first-ever DAM certificate program in North America. Students who enroll in the six-week online course will be exposed to DAM information and knowledge from many reliable sources - including Nuxeo!

We collaborated with David Lipsey, an instructor in the DAM Certificate Program, to provide content and articles as part of the course curriculum. David is a digital asset management industry expert who serves as a Partner and CRO of Klaris IP, Founder and Managing Partner of FCx3, and Global Chair for the Henry Stewart Conferences on The Art and Practice of Managing Digital Media.

It’s an honor for Nuxeo to play a role in developing this program. Helping to educate and train the next generation of DAM leaders supports our ‘Open Kitchen’ philosophy, which stems from our belief that being “open” includes sharing knowledge with the academic and other interested communities.

About the Digital Asset Management Certificate Course at Rutgers

The Rutgers program is unique in offering corporate-level DAM training at a time when these skills are in strong demand at many enterprises.

Launched online in September 2019, the Rutgers non-credit professional DAM education certificate program consists of six classes. To receive certification, students must complete all six classes. Interested participants can start this program with any course in any month. The course schedule loops so that students can complete the program in six months no matter when they start. Students are also welcome to take stand-alone courses that meet their career development needs.

The course is tailor-made for DAM professionals working in the field wanting additional education, as well as information professionals, people interested in a career change to information management, and technical professionals who work with data.
