Over the years we have used many different technologies, software development best practices, integration and build processes, and QA and testing methods as part of the software factory for the Nuxeo Platform. Geeks at heart, we love talking about this stuff.

Join us for the first of many Nuxeo Tech Talks in NYC. We’re kicking it off with the Docker Meetup, taking place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

6:30 - 7:15 pm: “Docker at NUXEO” by Damien Metzler
In this talk, Damien will describe the infrastructure Nuxeo has built around Docker containers, which is based primarily on CoreOS and Docker, and how it provides a way to generically run applications not only on a single host, but across a whole cluster of hosts. The resulting architecture can be used to implement a PaaS approach for any application.

7:15 to 7:30 pm: “Tutum Labs: Docker-as-a-Service” by Borja Burgos
Tutum is a container-native public cloud. Because it is neither IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) nor PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service), we refer to it as CaaS or Containers-as-a-Service. You can run your public or private Docker images in Tutum with a few clicks using our web interface, or with just one command using the CLI.

This is a unique opportunity to join us for a beer and a chat about the technologies that we all love.
