Boston, MA & New York, NY – November 29, 2011 – TEMIS, the leading provider of Semantic Content Enrichment Platforms for the Enterprise, and Nuxeo, the provider of a content services platform, today announced the integration of high-performance semantic content enrichment on the Nuxeo content management platform through TEMIS’ flagship Luxid(r) platform.
Luxid(r) now connects natively to the Nuxeo Semantic Entities plugin through Web Services to seamlessly enrich documents with domain-specific metadata. Luxid(r) extracts meaningful information such as topics, entities, facts, sentiments or categories. This rich metadata is then leveraged by the Nuxeo Platform to enrich search facets, recommend related content, link to enterprise knowledge bases, feed Business Intelligence dashboards or trigger business workflows.”Text analytics in the context of content management solutions is becoming increasingly important,” said Eric Brégand, CEO of TEMIS. “As volumes of data and documents in the enterprise multiply, automated metadata extraction helps save time and resources, and ensures the ‘findability’ of relevant information.”
“Nuxeo is pleased to partner with TEMIS and advance its semantic technology research and development,” said Eric Barroca, Nuxeo CEO. “The TEMIS technology offers an optimal solution for automated metadata extraction, and the connector between our platforms results in an innovative semantic search offering for our clients.”
TEMIS and Nuxeo initiated their collaboration as co-participants with Agence France Presse (AFP) in the French government-funded SAMAR Project. SAMAR aims to develop a semantically-enabled platform hosting AFP’s Arabic-language news, audio and video content. AFP content stored in Nuxeo’s flexible and modular content management platform is processed by Luxid(r), enabling Arabic-language semantic search features. Luxid(r) for Content Enrichment Platform supports twenty languages and offers a complete suite of tools that enable the customization of metadata extraction to any use case or domain.
The integration of the TEMIS Luxid(r) solution into the Nuxeo Content Services Platform is available immediately.
